About the event
Are you yearning for some "me time" in a creative environment in 2024? Absolute beginners, artists with past "failed" throwing experiences are especially welcomed, as well as seasoned throwers on the pottery wheel. You will be encouraged to get creative and build confidence in your abilities. We will start each class with a poem, deep breathing to relax into the creative process of clay. This is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded creatives, share some laughs and get messy! Artists will receive demonstrations at the beginning of each class and hands on guidance while they create their own works of art inspired by their Pintrest dreams!Â
Throwing pottery on the wheel requires patience and practice so we will focus on vital elements such as centering, posture, pressure, proper use of tools, water, and wheel speed. We will learn how to throw cups, mugs with handles, bowls, plates and more.…
