Spring Thursday Teen's Class

This is a wheel-throwing class that teaches all steps of throwing on the pottery wheel, including: wedging clay, centering, opening a cylinder, pulling a floor, raising a wall, trimming, altering a form and wiring the piece off the wheel. Teens will be asked to bring pictures of what they dream of making to class to help create our plan. Creations will be fired once, glazed by the artists, and then put through a second firing to give them the final finish.  Some work may be sent home throughout the course, while other pieces will need to be picked up at Firefly Valley after the conclusion of the seven class course.   Ages: Ideal artist age is 10-18, please inquire about exceptions.  Classes are capped at 10 teens.  Days: Thursdays 4:00 - 6:00 (April 13th-May 25th)   Pricing: This seven class session class is $500. This is a drop-off and entirely outdoor class.
