Spring '25 Kids Pottery Class - Japan Edition

Come learn how to handbuild pottery at Firefly Valley Pottery- older and younger kids are welcomed and will be in two classes. Younger kids class- ages 5-7 and kids class- ages 8-11. Twelve and up can join the teen class on Thursdays! Wednesdays, April 2-May 21st from 4-5:30pm.

About the event
Welcome, artists!
Come learn how to make sculptures and functional ceramics in a fun, calm, outdoor pottery studio environment in West Asheville! This will be an eight week series focusing on Japanese pottery, with up to 12 kiddos in each of the two classes. The younger children's class will be ages 4-7 and another older kid's class will be ages 8-11. Please use the code siblings10 for 10% off one sibling or carpool ticket. The groups will be combined if they are under 10 children. Children will learn the techniques of slab building, coil and pinch construction and at least two surface decoration techniques.
Dates: April 2-May 21st, Wednesdays from 4-5:30.
